Weekly Class - Pirkei Avot

Ovos UBonim

Yeshurun Synagogue has an Ovus UBonim (fathers and sons learning together) hour. Sessions on Motzei Shabbos for boys aged 8 and over with their fathers and/or grandfathers. Refreshments afterwards. Enquiries to Rabbi Lewis rabbi@yeshurun.org

Guest Speaker

Rabbi Arnold Saunders, Jewish civilian chaplain to HM Forces, will be giving a talk at Croydon Synagogue on Sunday 7th March 2010 at 7.30pm. Rabbi Saunders received Semicha from Gateshead Yeshiva and holds a BA in Jewish Studies from Jews College, London. Refreshments will be served.

Shiurim

Croydon Synagogue has a weekly Lunch and Learn every Tuesday in the Shul at 1pm followed by Mincha. Enquiries to Shul office on 020 8662 0011 or croydonshul@btinternet.com.

Hendon Bet Hamedrash

A small friendly and informal Minyan that meets for Mincha and Kabbalat Shabbat on Fridays and Mincha followed by a Shiur by Dayan Lichtenstein on Shabbat afternoons.There is a weekday Minyan for Mincha at 1.40pm each weekday afternoon except Friday and public holidays. Mincha on Fridays is usually on the quarter hour after z'man and 1 hour and 10 minutes before Motzei Shabbat. For more information call Perry Burns on 020 8203 7757.

Communal Dinner

There will be a communal Friday night Dinner on 5th March 2010 at 7.10pm at Croydon Synagogue. Advance booking only. Please telephone 020 8726 0179.

Pesach

There will be a communal seder at Croydon Synagogue after eveni ng service on second night of Pesach, Tuesday 30th March 2010. For details of seder please telephone 020 8726 0179.

Council Meetings

The Council of the Federation of Synagogues will be meeting on Sunday 18th April 2010 and on Sunday 27th June 2010.

Yom Hazikaron

On Sunday 18th April 2010 at 8pm there will be a Memorial Service for Fallen Israeli Soldiers at Croydon Synagogue.

Yom Ha'atzma'ut

Israel's Independence Day will be celebrated at Croydon Synagogue on Monday 19 April 2010 at 8pm with a festive evening service, followed by falafel, pitta and Israeli music. On Tuesday 20th April 2010 the morning service at Croydon Synanogue will be at 8am followed by an Israeli breakfast.

Lag B'Omer

There will be a Barbecue at Croydon Synagogue from 1.15pm on Sunday 2nd May 2010.

Yom Yerushalayim

Croydon Synagogue will be holding an evening service on Tuesday 11th May 2010 at 8pm followed by an award-winning Israeli TV series called Six Days in June (in Ivrit). On Wednesday 12th May 2010 the morning service will be at 8am followed by Israeli breakfast and at 10am the second and third parts of Six Days of June (each 47 minutes).
